Find the accessibility problems in your online store before your customers do.
ClearAisle runs automated WCAG 2.2 AA checks on your Shopify or WooCommerce store and turns the results into a plain-English PDF: what's wrong, who it affects, and exactly where to click to fix it.
Automated audit, not a compliance guarantee or legal advice.
Why store owners are paying attention
US lawsuits
UsableNet counted 5,114 ADA digital accessibility lawsuits in 2025, and about 70% of them were against e-commerce sites. Source: UsableNet 2025 year-end report.
EU rules
Since 28 June 2025 the European Accessibility Act covers e-commerce services sold to EU consumers (microenterprises providing services are exempt). Read our EAA guide.
Real customers
Missing alt text, low-contrast prices and unlabeled "Add to cart" buttons stop people who use screen readers, zoom or keyboards from buying. Fixing them is usually quick.
How it works
1. Tell us your store
Check out with your store URL and platform. No app to install, no access to your admin.
2. We scan 5 key pages
Home, a collection, a product, the cart and an info page, in a real Chrome browser using the open-source axe-core engine (WCAG 2.0, 2.1 and 2.2 A/AA rules).
3. You get a fix list
A PDF ranked by severity with the exact elements affected and step-by-step fixes for Shopify or WooCommerce, emailed within 1 business day.
Honest limits: automated tools detect only a portion of accessibility barriers. Every report includes a short manual checklist (keyboard, screen reader, zoom) for the things software can't judge.
Free check
Option 1: instant check in your browser
Drag this button to your bookmarks bar, open any page of your store, then click the bookmark. It runs the same axe-core rules in your own browser and shows a summary. Nothing is sent to us.
On a phone or can't drag? Open your store, create any bookmark, then edit its address and paste the code below. Some stores block outside scripts; if so, use option 2.
Show the bookmark code
javascript:(function(){var s=document.createElement('script');s.src='https://clearaisle.pages.dev/free-check.js?'+Date.now();document.body.appendChild(s);})();It loads free-check.js and our copy of axe-core (MPL-2.0, Deque Systems).
Option 2: we email you a free home-page summary

Questions
Will this make my store "ADA compliant"?
No tool can promise that, and we don't. An automated audit finds many common, fixable barriers, but WCAG also needs human judgment (is the alt text meaningful? can you finish checkout by keyboard?). The report tells you what we found and what to check by hand. For legal questions, talk to a lawyer.
Do you need access to my Shopify or WordPress admin?
No. We only load your public storefront like a visitor would. If your store is password-protected, reply to your order email with the storefront password (or remove it while we scan).
Do you install an overlay or widget?
No. We don't sell overlays. The report tells you how to fix issues in your theme, content and apps.
What does the scan check?
axe-core's WCAG 2.0, 2.1 and 2.2 Level A and AA rules plus best practices: colour contrast, image alt text, form labels, button and link names, headings, landmarks, ARIA misuse, zoom, page language and more.
Which platforms do you support?
Any public website can be scanned. Fix steps are written for Shopify and WooCommerce; other platforms get general guidance.
How do refunds work?
If you're not satisfied, email us within 14 days for a full refund. See the refund policy.
